With a career spanning over three decades, she has dedicated herself to the field of pediatrics since 1994, serving in various capacities—including teaching parenting classes for the past 26 years.
Passionate about empowering new and expectant parents, Monique is committed to helping them build confidence and gain the knowledge they need to navigate parenthood successfully. In addition to her teaching, she works full-time as an infusion science specialist, in medical affairs, where she serves as a nurse educator.
Beyond her professional life, Monique loves traveling and spending cherished time with her husband and two adult children.

Yes! As mom of 2 and a pediatric nurse of over 30 years this book is full of practical advice that is given in a straightforward manner. The book was edited by physicians and almost all information follows the advice of AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics). If I disagree with the AAP (which is not often) I will explain why and give both opinions.
This book covers pregnancy through the first year and a half; however, there are chapters that cover childhood in general. The last 3 chapters focus the first few years of life through pre-school and beyond.
No. Every child has their own unique temperament. No two children are the same. You may have to change your parenting style to fit your child’s personality. It also never hurts to have a refresher. It is amazing how much you may have forgetten between each child. Parents in my class often tell me they get out their notebook as a refresher when their second or third baby is on the way.
